You’ve Got the Love: Dating Tips for WAE

Weekender 2018

From intimate club spaces to massive festivals, folks have been finding love on the dance floor ever since the first record was placed on a turntable. We don’t have a crystal ball for WAE, but we’ve got some tips on how you can put yourself out there over the weekend. Who knows? You just might find your soulmate in Velder Woods

Camp It Up

The WAE camping experience is definitely the way to go. When you’re spending an entire weekend with like-minded people in a breathtaking environment, special moments are created that just don’t happen when you stay in a hotel. Don’t be afraid to explore the Electric Village and chill with other camps. Everyone’s here to have a good time and to make new friends… You never know who you might meet!

Explore the Stages

We get it. You’ve selected the artists you definitely want to see at WAE, and there are only so many hours in the day to get your music fix. Definitely make an effort to catch your favorite acts, but try to go with the flow as much as possible. Check out artists you wouldn’t normally listen to. It’s the best way to run into all different types of personalities, and it’ll give you the opportunity to hit it off with someone new.

Put Down Your Phone

When you go to a festival with a crew, it’s impossible to all be together everywhere you go. If you’re frantically texting your friends trying to figure out where they are all weekend, you’re going to miss out on some really fun experiences. Of course, you should look out for your friends, have a buddy system and meet-up points. This doesn’t mean you need to be 100% zoned in on your phone all weekend. Stay present and take some personal time to explore the festival on your own. It’s the perfect way to chat it up with new people.

Let Yourself Go

WAE is the ideal place to let your guard down. We are hard at work creating an environment where you can feel relaxed, be yourself and have an epic time. We hope that this will mix up a sweet concoction for you to bond with people (old friends and new). At the end of the day, we’re all here to have fun!
